50 years ago a microscopy centre was established at the University Western Australia. Today the Centre for Microscopy, Characterisation & Analysis is the AMMRF’s node in WA. It has continued to provide the very best in research, research support and training and is rightly proud of all its achievements as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. Even its birthday cake showed the precision and amazing attention to detail typical of all the work that emerges from their centre.
