foundingGIDE Community Event 2025 (GIDE2025)

foundingGIDE aims to establish a coordinated Global Image Data Ecosystem (GIDE) by developing common recommendations for ontologies and metadata, together with the wider global bioimage data community.

With a focus on standardisation in biological and preclinical imaging data, GIDE2025 will take place between the International Data Week and eResearch Australasia conferences in Brisbane, in October this year.

GIDE2025 will be a hybrid event offering a unique opportunity for professionals engaged in research data management, imaging, and digital infrastructure to connect with the global data research community. For Australian advanced imaging and Microscopy facilities, it provides a unique opportunity to showcase our emerging capabilities and contribute to the development of integrated imaging services to the global research community.

foundingGIDE is a European Union Horizon Europe-funded project which is establishing a Global Imaging Data Ecosystem by enhancing the interoperability of imaging data. National Imaging Facility and Microscopy Australia are two of seven international delivery partners on foundingGIDE, which is being led by Eurobioimaging.
