Microscopy Australia is thrilled to unveil our latest Research Highlights report, showcasing groundbreaking discoveries enabled by our facilities nationwide.

Join us in celebrating these incredible achievements and learn how our open-access, NCRIS-funded infrastructure is enabling research excellence. With over 240 advanced microscopes and expert teams across nine university-based facilities, we’re empowering Australian science and innovation by making advanced microscopes accessible to all researchers.

Some of the exciting research stories you’ll find inside include:

  • needle-free insulin
  • a method for generating electricity from CO2

Our infrastructure is enabled by the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy, an Australian Government Initiative. Much of this research could not have happened without the support of the broader NCRIS network, including the National Imaging Facility, The Australian National Fabrication Facility, and Phenomics Australia.
