Our open access policy means that researchers anywhere in the country can access any of our nine university based facilities. Our instruments have dedicated experts to deliver high quality training and support to ensure you get the best research outcomes.

Once you've identified a technique, submit your project to the relevant facility to start the project approval process.
Our expert staff will asses the project feasibility and provide advice to ensure you get the results you need. We aim to book you a microscope within three weeks of approval.
Next you will be booked in for hands-on training. Start your free online training anytime, with MyScope. Alternatively, if amount of training time required is not feasible within your project, you can hire the staff on a fee-for-service basis to analyse the sample for you.
Our expert staff will support your microscopy and microanalysis work to help you collect the best possible results. They will also provide advice on data analysis and management.
